Why Not!
Portion of painting's sale donated in memory of my favorite Uncle Danny.
Thanks to my paintbrush, I climbed seemingly insurmountable mountains. I imagined healing, didn’t give up, and believed, “Why Not!”
When questioning "Why?"
Believe "Why Not!"
Instead of "Why Try?"
A traumatic brain injury didn’t stop me from relearning to read and paint.
Climbing Mountains
Recovery from a brain injury was a slow process but thanks to my paintbrush, I climbed seemingly insurmountable mountains. I imagined healing, didn’t give up, and believed, “Why Not!” As I was healing, I craved the ability to read and imagined hiking in the mountains.
Healing Artwork
Music used to help my creativity flow but silence helps me minimize cognitive fatigue so I can handle painting longer. This is the first painting, since my brain injury, that I painted with music because “Why not!”
Pain and fear won’t stop me from creating happy memories and spreading hope.
Small Progress
Celebrating small wins, finding gratitude, and choosing happiness keeps me going — and I hope my art will help others to persevere when they are wondering “Why?” something has happened. Although I’m not fully recovered “yet,” I believe “Why not!”
Be Yourself
I recently met a child who said to me, “You are the first person I’ve ever met like me!” It doesn’t matter whether a person has a hearing impairment, brain injury, or invisible illness.
We all need hope, happiness, and belonging to live joyfully despite our individual challenging circumstances.
A hearing impairment didn’t stop me from moving abroad or learning languages.
Spread Hope
It is my hope to change the way people view mental health and brain injuries/diseases by sharing my story of hope and healing through watercolors. Increased awareness leads to understanding, connection, and kindness. See Donate Hope for more info.

Send Hope
My paintings tell a story of hope, heart, and healing. Every purchase from Artsy Paint is a way to send hope to someone else. A portion of proceeds will be donated towards brain health initiatives. Also, your purchase can make a difference in my personal life as I’m living with a Traumatic Brain Injury myself.
